After 4 loans, Real Madrid determines the fate of “Japanese Messi”
Press reports revealed that Real Madrid finally decided to sell the Japanese,
Takefusa Kubo, to his rival in the League, Real Sociedad, after 4 loan periods to 3 teams.
The royal team included Kubo from Tokyo Club in 2019 after his brilliance there,
to the extent that he was nicknamed “Japan’s Messi”.
But the 21-year-old winger was unable to secure a seat in the Real Madrid squad,
who loaned him to Real Mallorca, then Villarreal, then Getafe and Real Mallorca again.
However, the Spanish champions decided to sell Kubo permanently instead of
loaning him, as he will move to Sociedad until 2027 for 6 million euros, according
to the “Football Spain” website.
According to the agreement between the two clubs, Real Madrid will receive 50 percent
of the player’s sale value if he leaves Sociedad during his contract period, and Real will
also have the option to buy it back if he shines with his new team.
Kubo played 18 matches with the “Samurai” team, during which he scored one goal,
and is expected to be the next star of Japanese football.
