Real Madrid pulled itself out of a real impasse in the Champions
League, after scoring a difficult win over Inter Milan, in the
third round of Group Two.
A late goal by Brazilian Rodrigo saved the “royal” from a
disappointing draw, to lead him to a 3-2 victory over stubborn
Inter Milan on Tuesday night.
With this result, Real Madrid, who won the European
Championship 13 times, a record, has 4 points, equal to
Shakhtar Donetsk Ukrainian, one point behind leaders Borussia
Moenchengladbach, while it is two points ahead of bottom-of-
the-table Inter.
Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos gave Real Madrid a 2-0 lead
in the first 33 minutes, before Inter equalized through Lautaro
Martinez and Ivan Brisic at Alfredo Di Stefano’s stadium, the
Spanish club’s training ground and the stadium of the reserve team.
Inter missed after that a series of dangerous opportunities,
before the Brazilian Real Madrid duo Vinicius Junior and
Rodrigo launched a quick counterattack in the 80th minute, and
the latter fired an unstoppable shot into the upper corner of the goal.
