Real Madrid scored 3 goals in 33 minutes in the first half to win
3-1 against Eibar on Sunday, and continues to chase Barcelona
at the top of the Primera Liga, in its first appearance after
the resumption of the season, after a three-month hiatus, due to
the Corona virus pandemic.
Real Madrid’s big victory came hours after the quadruple of its
traditional rivals in its first match after the comeback, against
Real Mallorca.
Toni Kroos made an early goal for Real with a perfect shot
in the fourth minute, and captain Sergio Ramos added
the second goal after a pass from the return from injury Eden
Hazard in the 30th minute.
Seven minutes later, Marcelo followed a rebound and fired
a massive shot against Eibar, to guarantee Real Madrid
a victory.
Pedro Pegas reduced the difference and scored Eibar’s only goal
after a shot that deceived goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in
a match without fans.
Real Madrid has 59 points from 28 games, two points behind
leaders Barcelona.
