Barcelona is in talks with Serie A leaders Juventus
about the transfer of Matias de Leicht to the ranks
of the Catalan club, according to Spanish press
reports.
This comes a year after 20-year-old Dutch star
Mattis de Licht refused to join Barcelona for
Juventus, but he wants not to miss the dream of
joining the Catalan giants this year.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo
Deportivo”, the Barcelona club is determined
to hunt de Licht from the old lady and is looking
forward to joining the Brazilian Juventus
midfielder Arthur.
According to the newspaper, de Liechten loves to
play the Blaugrana, and the reason he refused to
join Barsha last year is mainly due to the high tax
deductions in Spain compared to taxes in Italy.
On the other hand, Italian press reports indicate that
Juventus do not want to sell De Licht to any of the
clubs, as Italian champions prefer to keep him for
a few years longer because the public sees him as
a successor to Giorgio Chiellini in the team,
according to the Spanish newspaper “AS”.
And denied the newspaper “Corriere di Torino”
Italian reports that talked about the departure of
the Dutch player, whether to join the Red Devils
in England or to Real Madrid or even Barcelona.
The journey of de Liecht stumbled at the start of
his move to the Allianz Stadium from Ajax in
a deal amounting to 67.8 million pounds last
summer, but he maintained his composure as
a defensive heart for the old lady, where
De Licht still has four years remaining on
his current contract.
