De Telegraaf newspaper reported that Dutch soccer
coach Ronald Koeman was taken to hospital due to
a heart problem on Sunday.
His wife, Bartina, told the newspaper that an
ambulance transported the 57-year-old trainer from
his home to the hospital, but his condition became
stable after surgical intervention.
Koeman coached his country for more than two
years and led him to the Euro 2020 championships,
which were postponed for the next year due to
the Coronavirus pandemic.
The former international defender, winner of
the European Cup as a player with Eindhoven and
Barcelona was a coach for Everton before taking
over the Dutch national team.
