Dutch star Aaren Robben announced his return to football,
after announcing his retirement last year, to embark on a new
adventure in the past colors.
Reuben, Bayern Munich and the former Netherlands national
team, decided to return to play next season, alongside the Dutch
club “FC Gruningen”.
The Dutch club announced on its Twitter page to sign the
36-year-old superstar.
Robin went into the soccer world through the Groningen portal,
as a teenager, where he represented the team between 2000 and
2002, before moving to the Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven.
Ruben then went on to play for Chelsea, Real Madrid and
Bayern Munich, where he won all the available titles, from
the English Premier League to the Spanish League, Bundesliga
and Champions League.
The “Flying Wing” starred with his country, the Netherlands,
and fought nearly 100 international matches, during which
he led the “mills” to the second and third places in the 2010
and 2014 World Cups.
It is noteworthy that Groningen was the start of a number of
football legends, most notably the Dutchman Ronald Koeman
and Virgil van Dyck, as well as Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez.
It is noteworthy that the Dutch club did not achieve a higher
than the fifth position in the last ten matches in the Dutch
league, and will aspire with Rubin to compete for
the European seats.
