Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals, to raise his tally to 12 goals in the Italian first division football
this season, and lead Juventus to a 4-0 victory over Parma.
Diane Kulusevski and Alvaro Morata also scored, but the match could have gone in another direction
had Gianluigi Buffon not prevented the 42-year-old Juventus keeper from leading Parma with an early
goal when he saved with his feet a close range shot from Uray Kotska a quarter of an hour into the start.
Juventus, seeking a tenth successive league title, has 27 points and shares second place with Inter Milan,
who host Spezia on Sunday. The two teams trail leaders Milan, who are visiting Sassuolo, by one point.
Ronaldo’s double climbed to the top scorer in the league, two goals ahead of Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic
and Inter’s Romelu Lukaku, as the 35-year-old Portugal captain fought back after missing a penalty against
Atlanta last week.
Parma’s first dangerous chance came when a counterattack ended at Kotska, but Buffon saved the ball.
