Portuguese soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo has entered history
again, but this time out of funds, according to a recent report
published by the economic magazine “Forbes”.
The magazine confirmed that Ronaldo, 35, became the first
footballer in the history of the game to earn a billion dollars
or more in total, throughout his career.
And Ronaldo gets during the last 12 months to $ 105 million in
gross annual income, whether from his salary with Juventus
or from advertising revenue and other income, knowing that
the magazine placed him in fourth place in terms of total annual
income among the world’s celebrities now.
And Ronaldo has become the third athlete in history, exceeding
the total earned in his career, the billion dollar barrier while he
continues to practice sports, after the golf legend Tiger Woods
who did it in 2009, and the famous boxer Floyd Mayweather
in 2017.
Consequently, the former Real Madrid player becomes the first
team sportsman to enter the “billion club” in history.
During a 17-year career, the five gold balls earned only $ 650
million from football, and his total income from the game is
expected to reach 765 million by the end of his contract
in Turin two seasons from now.
Messi came second in terms of the highest paid athletes from
the game only throughout their career, with $ 605 million,
and the two are a distance from the third-ranked baseball player
Alex Rodriguez, who raised $ 450 million in his career.
