Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazario, who is currently president of Valladolid, revealed the best player
he trained with, and his role model in the world of football.
Ronaldo said in an interview with “France Football” magazine that the current Real Madrid coach,
Zinedine Zidane the best player he trained with, pointing to the difficulty of determining Zidane’s
preference as a coach or as a player.
Commenting on Zidane’s career, he added, “Zizo the best player I trained and played with, and now
he is a coach and won 3 consecutive Champions League championships. If I ask myself today, who is the best,
Zidane, the coach or the player? I cannot answer.”
Regarding his first example in the world of the “round witch”, Ronaldo explained: “Of course it was
Marco van Basten, as I have watched Italian football since childhood. There is also Maradona and Cruyff,
as well as Zico because he used to play in Flamengo, and I was a fan of this team.”
And Ronaldo continued, saying: “I tried to come out with something from all of them and in the end,
I can say that I am proud of the path I have gone through,” according to the Spanish newspaper “AS”.
It is worth noting that Ronaldo retired from football in 2011 after a long career of achievements in
the world of football, on top of which was crowned the World Cup twice in 1994 and 2002.
