The Spanish club Seville won the European League title
“Europa League” for the sixth time in its history, by beating
Inter Milan after a thrilling 3-2 match in the final held in
Cologne, Germany, due to the repercussions of the new Corona virus.
Defender Diego Carlos, who put a bandage around his leg, hit
the back, and Inter striker Romelu Lukaku missed the ball in
clearing the ball and landed his team’s net with a goal to clinch the title.
The exciting story began when Belgian Diego Carlos blocked
Lukaku to award Inter with an early penalty, with the Inter
striker scoring the first goal in the fourth minute,
his 34th goal this season.
Sevilla equalized with Luc de Jong’s header and the Dutch
striker returned to add the second goal in a similar fashion in
the 33rd minute, but Inter defender Diego Godin tied with
a header also moments later.
The match was played without fans due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
