Rahim Sterling starred and scored 3 “hat-trick” goals,
leading Manchester City to a 5-0 home away win over
Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League, Saturday.
Manchester City, who finished second, lost the last three away
games in the league, but there was no indication that this
negative series continued with Brighton suffering from the start.
Sterling opened the goals in the 21st minute when he followed
a pass from Gabriel Jesus, and brilliantly put the ball into
the goal.
The score was 2-0 by Jesus before the break, where he followed
a header from Roderi after a corner kick, and he scored from
close range.
Manchester City completely dominated the second half,
and Kevin de Bruyne hit the post in the 51st minute, and after
two minutes Sterling struck a cross from Riyadh Mahrez
and scored with a header.
Bernardo Silva added City’s fourth goal before Sterling wrapped
up the goals in the 81st minute.
With this, Stirling scored a total of 17 goals, to come close
to the Premier League top scorer this season, led by Jamie
Vardy, Leicester City player with 22 goals, before
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (20), Danny Ings and
Muhammad Salah (19 goals).
