According to sports reports, the Italian Juventus officials wanted to take advantage of Manchester United
player Paul Pogba’s lack of comfort with the “Red Devils”, in order to offer a “reciprocal” deal between
the French player and the Portuguese “old lady” striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, recently announced that the days of the 2018 World Cup winner with “the roosters”
at Manchester United are over.
And as the Spanish newspaper “AS” quoted the chief sports writer in the British newspaper “The Independent”,
Miguel Delaney, the Italian club officials are serious about exploiting the discomfort that Pogba feels at
“Old Trafford” by making an official offer to join him, as Ronaldo goes to Manchester United.
Delaney said in statements he made during the Football Rumble program: “This is not impossible, and what is
related to all of that was the view that Juventus is trying, in the end, to benefit from Cristiano Ronaldo, especially
with his advanced age.”
And Delaney stated that “Juventus tried this method with Mauricio Sarri, and now they are also trying it with Pirlo,
but this is almost impossible in the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo with the team, because of the way in which
the Don plays, it does not fit the new collective method at all.”
And he went on to say: “Ronaldo was not a problem when he was at his peak technical and physical level, but that
problem appears now, and more than ever before, Juventus is now being forced to play a certain style.”
Delaney’s comments seem logical, as Ronaldo is 35 years old and is the highest-paid player in Juventus, earning
30 million pounds a year.
