Tekken 7 Sales Exceed 9 Million Copies
Bandai Namco announced today that sales of the popular fight game Tekken 7 has planned a barrier of 9 million
copies worldwide.
This announcement of game sales coincides with the announcement by the publishing company of the
celebration of the fifth anniversary, since its launch on home appliances and PC on June 2, 2017.
Tekken 7 has also been officially confirmed as the best parts of the series, since its inception where its sales
exceeded the record set by the third part Tekken 3 of the series, whose sales over the same time period
amounted to 8.36 million copies.
Tekken 7’s main story focuses on the ongoing rift between the Mishima family and specifically Kazuya
and Heihachi, with Akuma from Street Fighter also participating in the narrative as a guest character.
Through the story we also got to know Kazumi Mishima, Heihachi’s long-dead wife, who still plays a vital
role in the story.

Pandai Namko has supported Tekken 7 over the past five years with strong post-launch content,
which included four seasons through which we were presented with new characters, stages,
fashion and many more.
The game also had a large presence on the competitive scene and electronic sport thanks to the competition of
Look now at the future of the series and whether Bandai Namko is looking to launch a new Tekken 8 or perhaps a
sub-part. If there is a plan, June will be the appropriate date especially with the huge and varied events that will kick
off from next Friday with the State of Play event and then the upcoming Summer Game Fest that will be the best fit
to reveal the future of the series and whether there is already a new part.
