Brighton & Hove Albion, England coach Graham Potter said on
Monday that his counterpart Jurgen Klopp had built a great
team in Liverpool and his voracity would help him stay on top
of English football in the coming seasons.
Club has revived Liverpool’s fortunes since he took charge
in 2015 and led him to victory in the Champions League last
season, and led the team to win his first Premier League title
in 30 years this season.
Brighton is 15th with 36 points, nine ahead of the relegation
zone, and the new Premier League champion will host
on Wednesday.
Potter said he was preparing his team for a tough test.
“Liverpool deservedly won the league title and it would be
great” to test our capabilities in front of him, “he told a virtual
news conference.
“Jürgen Klopp succeeded in building a great team. This group
is strong and has a great spirit. They have an unwavering resolve
to win matches.
“There are strong clubs at the forefront of English football.
Liverpool are in great shape and I expect to compete for
all titles for years to come.”
Brighton have scored 7 points from four games since
the resumption of the season, and Potter is satisfied with
the performance of his players.
He said: “Some things went well and there are other things that
need improvement. We want to build on the positive things.”
