In a group interview held by Japanese magazine Famitsu with various developers at Square Enix,
a number of developers talked about their plans for the next year, as Naoki Yoshida teased Final Fantasy XIV
and XVI as the next year will be the busiest in its history with the first information about the sixteenth part.
From Final Fantasy it looks like we’ll get the announcement of the next expansion of the 14th part.
Yosuke Saito mentioned that the NieR series will continue for a period of time, mentioning the NieR Re [in]
carnation and Replicant games that will be released next year, and Babylon’s Fall game, without sharing any
new details about the game that we haven’t heard about for a while.
Noriyoshi Fujimoto, producer of the Dragon Quest series, stated that he would like to present something dedicated
to the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the beginning of the series during the next year without sharing any
details, while Akitoshi Kawazu, director of the SaGa series, is working on a secret project. We do not know when
we will get the details about it.
