Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo made strong statements on
Sunday, blending the disclosure of future aspirations with the
emotions imposed by the developments of recent months, hours
after he led Juventus to beat Sampdoria with two clean goals,
and crowned the Italian league title for the ninth season in a row.
Ronaldo made an exceptional match against Sampdoria, where
he scored Juventus first goal early, and caused the second,
before he missed a penalty in the last minutes.
The “Don” gave a season of history that saw several new
figures, but it does not seem that this will be all in the career of
the Portuguese star, who is still looking for achievements and
titles with the “old lady” team.
After the coronation, Ronaldo, 35, said: “I am very happy with
the second title (Li in the Italian League) and build history with
this great and great team.”
He added on his account on “Instagram”: “I dedicate this title to
all Juventus fans, especially those who have suffered and are
still suffering from the Corona pandemic … which surprised us all.”
He continued: “It was not easy, but the courage, commitment,
and determination were our strengths that we need to face the
pressure of the competition and to fight until the title is crowned.”
It is noteworthy that Ronaldo surprised everyone in the summer
of 2018 when he decided to move from Real Madrid to
Juventus, under a four-year contract that ends in the summer of 2022.
In total, the Portuguese Don was crowned 7 league
championships, with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.
