Since the spread of the new Coronavirus “Covid-19” and the imposition of wearing a mask in many countries
of the world, iPhone users have been facing a problem in using the faceprint to unlock their smartphones.
These developments have prompted Apple to work to find a solution to this problem, as the upcoming update
for iOS 14.5 smartphones will allow users who wear the mask to unlock iPhones using the Apple smartwatch.
While this procedure makes it easier for many of those who own an Apple smartwatch to open their devices in
this way, those who do not own the watch will still suffer from the same problem.
Also, the new update from Apple requires that the smartwatch be close to the phone when you want to open it,
as the phone will be unlocked immediately by identifying the owner due to the presence of his Apple Watch in
the same place.
This feature is already available in regular computers produced by Apple, and its use has now become more
urgent with the spread of the Coronavirus, which required millions of people in the world to wear the mask
for long hours.
Apple is currently testing the iOS 14.5 version among the developers, who have discovered the possibility of using
the new feature, to make it easier for users to unlock their phones.
While the feature only works when the watch is near a smartphone, it does not replace the face print required
when making payments via Apple’s service.
