The Premier League has revealed the start date of the new
League season, which could cause a “deadlock” for a number
of teams.
The English Premier League Football Association announced
Friday that the 2020-2021 season will begin on September 12,
and the last round matches will held on May 23, 2021.
The start date of the league represents a “dilemma” for the clubs
participating in the European Championships, the Champions
League and Europe League, which scheduled to end a few
weeks before the start of the English Premier League.
The Europa League championship scheduled to end on
August 21, while the Champions League final will take
place on August 23.
And if English teams reach the final in the two championships,
you will not be able to prepare adequately for the new season,
in a “tight” period of only 3 weeks.
Manchester City and Chelsea are participating in the Champions
League, Manchester United and Wolverhampton teams in Europe League.
And if the English teams arrive far away in the European
championships, their matches may postponed at the start of
the Premier League, so that they can prepare adequately to
return to the competitions.
The current Premier League season will end with the last round
of the League matches on Sunday.
