The Portuguese club, Maritimo, signed with the obscure player,
Faiq Balkaya, who considered “the richest footballer in the
world”, as he comes from the ruling family of the Sultanate of Brunei.
Belkia (22 years) moved to the Portuguese club from Leicester
City, although he did not play any minute with the “wolves” for
the duration of his presence in the team list.
It is noteworthy that Faik Bolkiah is the son of the Emir of
Brunei, Jafari Bolkiah, brother of the Sultan of Brunei, Hassan
Bolkiah, whose ruling family’s wealth estimated at 28 billion dollars.
Bolkiah considered the richest player in the world, due to his
family’s vast wealth, which allows him to play football without
financial pressure.
Bolkiah born in Los Angeles, USA, but moved to Britain to
study, where he enrolled with the Southampton Academy there,
before moving to Leicester.
