The statements of the Manchester United coach “complicate” Ronaldo crisi
A new development witnessed in the case of Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United,
which some considered a development that “complicated” the crisis, due to the statements
of the new coach of the team.
Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag, who was recently appointed to lead Manchester United,
surprised everyone, with “stern” statements about the Portuguese star.
“Ronaldo is not for sale. He is in our plans, and now he is not with us because he has
family problems. We are planning for next season with Ronaldo,” Ten Hag said in
a press conference on Monday.
He added, “How can we make Ronaldo happy? I don’t really know.. I’m looking
forward to working with him.”
Ten Hag confirmed that he spoke with Ronaldo upon his arrival, and the latter did
not inform him of his desire to leave the club, and that he heard about the case later
in the press.
Ronaldo had announced that he wanted to leave Manchester United, according to
many close sources, because he was “not satisfied” with the ambition of his current team,
which is away from competing for titles.
According to European sources, his agent began negotiating with clubs Bayern Munich
and Chelsea to discuss the possibility of Ronaldo moving to those clubs.
Ten Hag’s comments now contradict the plans of Ronaldo and his agent, who had hoped
that the club would allow the player to leave freely.
But Manchester United’s “clinging” to the Portuguese legend may mean complicating
the situation, because the club is the final decision-maker to allow him to leave or stay,
because of the contract linking Ronaldo to the team.
