Spanish newspaper: This is Real Madrid’s decision to return Ronaldo
After deciding to leave Manchester United, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo
is still looking for his next team, which should be a contender for the Champions
League next season.
So far, the “Don” is absent from the preparations of the “Red Devils” for the next season,
and the club’s management is convinced that the 37-year-old is determined to leave.
The Spanish newspaper “Marca” said that Ronaldo wants to win his sixth title in
the Champions League and break records to outperform his direct rival,
Argentine Lionel Messi.
On Wednesday, there was news of a meeting between Ronaldo and Real Madrid
president Florentino Perez, to discuss the possibility of his return to the “Royal Club”.
The Spanish newspaper denied these reports and said that “the meeting did not take place at all.”
She added, “Real Madrid’s roadmap will not change at all. Ronaldo is not in
the club’s officials’ calendar.”
And she continued: “CR7 is looking for his future destination, but it will not be in
Madrid and it will not be in Munich,” referring to Bayern Munich.
And the Spanish sports newspaper, Diario AS, revealed, last Monday, that representatives
of the Portuguese football star managed to persuade Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone
to include the “Don” in the Spanish team.
