Technical leaks indicated Sony’s intention to reproduce the “Xperia Compact” phone, which many see as
a competitor to Apple’s “iPhone 12 mini”.
According to the leaks, “Sony” will give up the large-sized phones that it has been keen to present in the past
few years.
And according to the technical site “The Verge”, based on leaks of “On Lakes”, “Xperia Compact” will come
with dimensions of 140, 68.9 and 8.9 millimeters.
The phone will also support an 8-megapixel “selfie” camera, as well as a 13-megapixel main dual camera in
the back of the device.
An integrated fingerprint reader will be available to further protect the data stored on the phone, which comes
with a 5.5-inch screen.
And the new Sony phone, if leaked, will be the company’s first small-sized phone since its release of
Xperia XZ2 in 2018.
Many questions arise about the next Sony phone, as technical specialists believe that it must bypass the problem
of devices running the Android system, that is, to provide modest performance and specifications suitable for
its small size.
In addition, there is a marketing problem that stands in the way of small phones that do not offer anything
distinctive compared to those larger ones, as the “iPhone 12 mini”, for example, achieved sales that are not good
compared to those recorded by larger devices.
