Tsushima ghost is the latest game provided by the Sucker Punch
development team for the Playstation 4, which received a lot of
admiration when it was released last July and featured a
distinctive image of Japan, despite the fact that the game was
developed by a Western team.
According to game producer Brian Fleming, the team was not
sure of its ability to present this experience and portray
Japanese culture in an appropriate manner as a Western
developer, so the team interviewed Shuhei Yoshida, the famous
name in Sony for interactive entertainment, to find out his
opinion on the idea.
Yoshida encouraged the team, saying that they do not need to
fabricate a different identity (referring to pretending to be a
Japanese developer) but rather they have to provide the best
experience they can offer as a Western developer and with this
encouragement from Yoshida and support from Sony Japan,
we got this experience that achieved remarkable success on
both levels. Critical and commercial.
