British sources revealed the huge offer made by the French
league champion Paris Saint-Germain to Liverpool defender
Vergil Van Dyck, before the latter rejected him in order to stay
with the “Reds”.
The British newspaper “Sun” revealed the details of the offer
made by the Paris Saint-Germain administration to the best
defender in the world, Vergil van Dyck, as part of the team’s
plan to strengthen its defense line this summer.
The newspaper said that Saint Germain offered a monthly salary
to the Dutch defender, exceeding 310 thousand euros per week,
which means that he gets 15 million euros annually.
The huge SG bid was much more than Van Dyck’s current
salary in Liverpool, which is 111,000 euros per week,
equivalent to 5.3 million euros a year.
In spite of the tempting offer of the French club, Van Dyck
preferred to stay with the European champion, rejected the offer
of Saint Germain, and enter negotiations to renew the contract
with Liverpool.
According to British sources, Dyke will sign a new contract
with the Reds until 2025, with a huge salary as well, amounting
to 270 thousand euros per week, equivalent to 13 million euros
annually.
Saint Germain is seeking to sign a new defender this summer,
after his decision to dispense with veteran team defender
Tiago Silva.
Despite the huge number, Van Dyck did not hesitate to reject
the offer of the Parisian club, according to “Sun”, in a desire
to complete the brilliance with the “Reds” under the leadership
of German Jurgen Klopp.
By signing the new contract, Van Dyck will become the highest
paid in the history of Liverpool, beating the Egyptian Mohamed
Salah, who receives a weekly salary of 223 thousand euros.
