Dutch Virgil Van Dyck, the Liverpool defense rock, on
Saturday evening sent a strong message to the Reds after
a 3-0 loss to Watford in the 28th round of the Premier
League.
Watford broke Liverpool’s winning streak in the English
Premier League, when he won 3-0, to inflict the first
Club Battalion defeat in the League Championship this
season, the first also since Liverpool defeated
Manchester City 2-1 in January 2019.
Van Dyck admitted in televised comments after the
match: “Best regards to Watford, his players have played
a good match and fought a lot. They are really an
organized and disciplined team, and they scored 3 goals
that is the truth, we could not score any goals, it was a
difficult match, and we have to improve “.
Van Dyck explained, “We have to return our
calculations, there is no reason for this panic, we do not
want to enter any goals, we must review our calculations,
but we do not have to panic.”
“The records and the talk about them are the talk of all
the media, and we just have to try to win every remaining
match,” the Dutch defender added.
He continued: “We will focus on the next match, which
is in the cup championship, and we will try to win there,
and we must remain humble and work hard in the next
match.”
With this victory, Watford raised his score to 27 points to
climb to 17th in the “Premier League” table, equally with
West Ham and Bournemouth, while Liverpool’s balance
at point 79 came to the top of the championship table.
