West Ham United won a landslide victory over Leicester City
on Sunday and defeated them at home by 3-0, thus halting their
last series of victories.
West Ham United goals were scored by Michael Antonio, Pablo
Fornals and Jarrod Bowen.
Antonio scored West Ham’s first goal with a header 14 minutes
after the start, when he diverted Aaron Creswell’s long cross
pass over the far post into the goal, Reuters reported.
West Ham lifted the score 2-0 in the 34th minute, when Fornals
received a cross pass and fired a left-footed shot from eight
meters past goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.
Declan Rice’s shot came off the crossbar after a solo effort from
half of West Ham Stadium, before Bowen finished off the attack
in the 83rd minute after a pass from Fornals.
Leicester City, the 2016 champions, is temporarily second with
9 points from four matches, while West Ham jumped to sixth
with six points after their first victory away from home this season.
