Milan midfielder Frank Casey successfully executed a penalty
to lead his team to a 2-2 draw with hosts Napoli in Serie A,
on Sunday, after goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnaroma gave
the lander the lead.
Theo Hernandez put the visitors ahead in the 20th minute
of Milan’s first real opportunity on goal, but Giovanni
de Lorenzo equalized for Napoli when Donnaroma,
the giant young goalkeeper, 196 cm, failed to catch a free
kick by Lorenzo Encini.
Napoli went ahead after the break when Dres Mertens’s shot
went down from Donnaruma, before Casey tied for Milan in
the 73rd minute from a penalty kick after interference from
Nikola Maximovic against Giacomo Bonaventure.
Milan finished the last 10 minutes with ten players after Alexis
Salmickers was sent off for a second booking.
Napoli remained in sixth place with 52 points, two ahead
of seventh-placed Milan.
