The Basque team advanced in the first half with a goal scored by the Norwegian Martin Odegaard loaned from Real Madrid, and the Swedish Alexander Isak added two quick goals in the 54th and 56th minutes of the second half before the Brazilian Marcelo scored the first goals of the royal team in the 59th minute.
10 minutes later, in the 69th minute, Real Sociedad returned and scored his fourth goal through Mikel Moreno.
Real Madrid managed to score two goals through Brazilian Rodrigo in the 81st minute, then Nacho in the 93rd minute.
