It seems that Zinedine Zidane, the French coach, is not
interested in preceding the events regarding the La Liga title,
at a time when his team is leading Real Madrid.
The Royal Club is ranked first with 71 points, just two points
behind its direct hunt and traditional rival Barcelona.
Real is slowly getting closer to the league title, after Sunday’s
1-0 victory over Espanyol outside the home.
After the end of the meeting, Zidane told reporters, “Our victory
today does not mean that we won the title … This matter will be
decided on the last day of the league,” according to the Spanish
newspaper “Marca”.
“Look how hard it was to play against Espanyol … We can never
know who will win the league,” he added.
On the only goal of the meeting that Karim Benzema made,
the French coach said, “Benzema no longer surprised me,
because he is a player who invents beautiful things on
the field … I am very happy with all the players.”
It is noteworthy that this is the fifth consecutive victory for
Benzema, since the Spanish League resumed its activity after
a long pause due to the repercussions of the emerging
Corona virus.
