Real Madrid won a hard-fought victory over Huesca 2-1 thanks to a brace by French defender Rafael Varane
and temporarily regained second place in the Spanish Football League standings in the 22nd fun competition
on Saturday.
And the royal club overturned it’s lagging 0-1, to a double victory, which was the first for Faran in his team’s jersey
since joining him in 2011, in the 55th and 84th minutes
The losing team opened the scoring through Javi Galan (48).
It is the thirteenth victory for Real Madrid this season, to raise its score to 43 points and temporarily regain
the title from its rivals Barcelona (40 points) before the last meeting against Real Betis on Sunday, and is 7 points
behind leaders “the neighbor” Atletico (50) who plays with Celta Monday at the end of the competition and has
a postponed match.
Real Madrid returned to the path of victories with the return of its French coach Zinedine Zidane to the seats after
he recovered from the Coronavirus, after losing at home to Levante 1-2 in the previous stage, the first in the
“LaLiga” two months ago.
For his part, Huesca’s last win at home goes back to December 12th, during the 13th stage against Alaves with
a clean goal.
The royal club fought the meeting without all of its defender Dani Carvajal, Brazilian Rodrigo, Uruguayan
Federico Valverde, Lucas Vasquez, Eden Hazar and his captain Sergio Ramos due to injury, and Brazilian
Eder Militao due to expulsion in front of Levante.
The stage opened with Alaves’ victory over Valladolid 1-0 on Friday, and was completed on Saturday by a 2-2
draw with Granada, with Levante playing with Villarreal and Sevilla with Getafe.
And to continue Sunday’s meetings with Real Sociedad with Cadiz, Athletic Bilbao with Valencia, and Osasuna
with Eibar.
