Press reports revealed that Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, the
Argentine star, will do his utmost to get his former
teammate and Brazilian star Ronaldinho out of prison.
According to a Twitter post and other reports, Lionel
Messi appears ready at the moment to help Ronaldinho
by hiring a team of lawyers and paying about $ 4.5
million to get the former Brazilian national football star
out of prison.
Ronaldinho was detained by Paraguayan police on
March 4 for entering the country on a forged passport.
Paraguay’s representative, Federico Delfino, said that
Ronaldinho and his brother left Brazil using the passports
of that country, but they entered Paraguay on
Wednesday morning using Paraguay’s documents, noting
that they are “original passports, but with false data.”
In any case, if the information about Messi and
Ronaldinho’s help is accurate, then this is a really big
gesture on the part of the Argentine star, who is still
very friendly to Ronaldinho, according to the “Cote of
Side” website that deals with football news, soccer clubs
and stars.
Messi and Ronaldinho had played together for a short
period in Barcelona when Messi was still young in the
Catalan team, while Ronaldinho was one of the best
footballers at the time in the world.
Ronaldinho, 39, ended his career in football in 2015, and
FIFA chose him as the best player in the world in 2004
and 2005, and he won with Brazil in the 2002 World
Cup, and in the Champions League With Barcelona in
the year 2006.
